Student Poster Session
2025 Annual Conference
Student Poster Session
Undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral students are invited to submit proposals for poster presentations showcasing their original psychological research to the 2025 Georgia Psychological Association (GPA) Annual Conference Student Poster Session. Awards for best graduate and undergraduate posters are sponsored by the Georgia Psychological Foundation (GPF).
GPA’s Annual Conference is the official meeting of the state’s association for psychologists. This multi-day conference features workshops and keynote addresses on a range of topics relevant to the science and practice of psychology.
GPA and the GPF invite students interested in presenting their work and honing their science communication skills to participate in our Student Poster Session. Selected posters will be presented during a virtual poster session on April 26, 2025. We encourage submissions from students in program across Georgia, representing diverse research methods and topics. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in presenting research findings and engaging with fellow psychologists.
Due to the virtual format of this year's annual conference, we will host a virtual poster session. Presenters will upload their posters to a designated virtual platform and record short videos walking through their key findings. These videos will be presented alongside the posters. Presenters will be asked to be online during the virtual poster session times, as our platform offers a chat feature that allows direct interaction with viewers. This feature aims to create a more engaging and interactive poster experience, even in a virtual setting.
All submissions will be reviewed by members of the Academic Affairs Committee. Notifications of acceptance will be sent February 19, 2025. Upon acceptance, each student presenter and faculty adviser will be sent a link to register separately for the 2025 Poster Session as well as detailed directions for how the virtual poster session will work. Eligible presentations will be judged for monetary awards based on the poster and live presentation. Winners will be announced on April 26, 2025 during the Annual Conference.
The Georgia Psychological Foundation is providing two awards:
1) Best Undergraduate Student Poster
2) Best Graduate Student Poster
